Los Angeles has finally dumped her no good boyfriend Winter and is back to glowing like her usual fabulous self. Her best friend, Spring, is coming home from an extended vacay so things are really about to get lit! Seriously, this year is moving by so quickly. I feel like we were just making New Year’s resolutions yesterday (please don’t ask if I’ve kept any).
Warmer temperatures mean we can finally release our toes from their temporary confinement and bare some skin. This is exactly what I will be doing in two weeks when I take a cruise to the Bahamas for spring break! Sun, sand, and relaxation are all I’m asking for. Two of my closest friends are traveling with me so it’s sure to be a great trip.
Until we set sail, I’m taking advantage of sunny LA by wearing more loose and flowy clothing. This longline blouse was another recent purchase from Boohoo. (If you haven’t checked them out yet, seriously what are you waiting for?! I’m not sponsored by them, they’re just awesome) Last week I wore this shirt to my internship. I buttoned all the buttons and tucked the front into my pants to create a hi-lo effect. I got compliments on the look all day. This shirt is also long enough to be worn as a shirt dress. Just throw on some shorts underneath and you’re out the door. Three looks from one piece- that’s getting the biggest bang for your bucks.
I picked up this ALDO purse during a quick online shopping session. I’ve only had it for about two weeks but it’s already my favorite handbag for spring. The bag goes with every outfit I wear. The quilt and chain detailing are very well constructed. When I read the reviews online some people were upset that the strap was only cross body length and couldn’t be converted into a shorter length. I was able to fix this problem simply by tucking the excess chain into the purse and tying it into a knot. Instant handheld purse! A little ingenuity goes a long way in fashion!
