Summer is officially here and that means warmer temperatures and longer days. I love summer because it is my birthday season! I also love it because we can finally bare some skin. Shorts are definitely a summer staple. While I adore a great denim pair of jeans, I get excited when I find cool styles like these white sailor shorts I picked up from Zara. You can’t go wrong with high waist shorts in ANY color. I know what you are thinking “Girl aren’t you afraid to wear white bottoms?!” For some reason, I never get stains when I wear white jeans or shorts. Now white shirts are a whole other story.
High waist shorts like these are great because they are so versatile. You can pair them with tube tops, crop tops or a bralette and cover-up. For this look, I paired a loose-fitting olive green blouse and wedge sandals. I kept the accessories super simple so that the gold button detailing on the shorts stands out. A simple gold necklace is the perfect understated addition to the look.
