Have you ever put on a piece of clothing that instantly reminded you that you’re grown? Like grown grown? For me that piece of clothing is a bustier. Any time I wear one, my confidence level goes up a few notches. The moment I put this nude leather bustier on, I wanted to walk up the street singing Beyonce’s ‘Grown Woman’ at the top of my lungs.

Not going to lie it took me a while to get comfortable wearing something so overtly sexy but this bustier (and the one I bought in black) are some of my favorite summer purchases. A year ago I would’ve never willingly worn a bustier. I’ve always shied away from any clothes that accentuated my figure because I wasn’t 100% comfortable in my skin. But over the course of the last year, I have been on a journey that’s left me more confident in my body than I have ever been. It’s not just about the physical appearance either. I’m learning to appreciate everything that my body allows me to do.
Now that I have this new found body confidence, I plan to make up for lost time. I spent too many years unhappy with my appearance and enough is enough. We’re gonna be pushing up the girls and highlighting these curves all summer long because baby I’m grown! I have so many ideas on ways to style bustiers. It will actually be a fun challenge to see exactly how versatile this piece of clothing can be! I already have two leather ones. Maybe it’s time to add a lace one to the group! What do you think?
